Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Handiers mobile application (the "App"), operated by Handiers Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the App.
1. Overview of the App
Handiers is a mobile application designed to help homeowners track home maintenance, repair logs, and service professional information.
The App:

Operates entirely offline

Stores all data locally on your device

Does not require user accounts

Does not provide cloud storage
-
Does not function as a marketplace
The App is an organizational tool only.
The App does not:

Provide home repair services
-
Provide professional referrals
-
Act as a broker, intermediary, or marketplace

Verify or endorse any service professional
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App.
If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
3. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App solely for personal, non-commercial use on a device you own or control.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App

Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works

Remove proprietary notices

Circumvent security features or update requirements

Use the App for unlawful purposes
5. Data Ownership and Local Storage
5.1 Your Data Stays On Your Device
All data — including homes, repair logs, professional contacts, photos, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device in a local database.
We do not collect, access, transmit, receive, or store your data on Company servers
5.2 You Own Your Data
You retain full ownership of all data entered into the App.
Because data never leaves your device, no license to your data is granted to us.
5.3 Your Responsibility For data
You are solely responsible for:

Accuracy and legality of entered data

Maintaining backups

Protecting your device
You acknowledge that:

Uninstalling the App may permanently delete all data

Resetting or losing your device may result in permanent data loss

Using the “Reset All Data” feature permanently deletes data

We cannot restore deleted data
5.4 No Data Recovery Obligation
Because the App does not transmit or store data on Company servers, we have absolutely no technical ability to retrieve, restore, or recover any user data under any circumstances.
6. Privacy and Network Activity
6.1 Offline-first Design
The App functions entirely offline. No account or internet connection is required for core functionality.
6.2 Limited Version Check
The App may connect to a content delivery network (CDN) to check for updates.
This request may incidentally transmit standard HTTP metadata (such as IP address and user-agent string). No user-generated content is transmitted.
6.3 No Analytics or Tracking
We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash reporting services, or tracking technologies.
7. Generated Reports and Data Export
7.1 PDF Reports
PDF reports:

Reflect only user-entered data

Are not verified or validated by us
Reports are for personal record-keeping only and should not be relied upon as official documentation without independent verification.
7.2 Data Export and Import
Exported ZIP files may contain personal information.
You acknowledge that:

Exported files are not encrypted by default

You are solely responsible for securing exported files

Importing data replaces all existing data

We are not responsible for corruption or loss during export/import
8. Professional Directory Disclaimer
The App allows you to store information about service professionals for personal reference.
You acknowledge that:

The App does not verify, endorse, recommend, certify, or guarantee any professional

The App is not a marketplace, broker, or referral service
-
We are not a party to any agreement between you and any professional
-
We have no liability for acts, omissions, quality of work, or conduct of professionals
9. Not Professional Advice
The App does not provide:

Construction advice

Engineering advice
-
Legal advice
-
Insurance advice
-
Financial advice
-
Safety recommendations
You should consult licensed professionals before making decisions related to property condition, safety, or repairs.
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the App is owned by or licensed to the Company.
These Terms grant no ownership rights beyond the limited license in Section 3.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

12. Limitation of Liability

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR DATA LOSS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR FINANCIAL LOSS

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR (ii) US$100
If the App is provided free of charge, you acknowledge that you are not entitled to damages beyond these limits.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from claims arising out of:

15. APP Updates

Certain updates may be required before continued use.
Failure to install required updates may disable the App.
We are not responsible for data loss or incompatibility resulting from updates.
16. Termination
We may terminate your license at any time.
Sections 5, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 17 survive termination.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
17.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
17.2 Binding Arbitration
Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
17.3 Class Action Waiver
You and the Company agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity.
17.4 OPT-OUT
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first use by sending written notice.
17.5 Waiver of Jury Trial
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and the Company waive any right to a jury trial.

18.6 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for failures resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, governmental actions, platform restrictions, or network failures.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
